-Mount Street has enjoyed a strong 2025 to date, buoyed by a robust private credit market-

LONDON – 2 October 2025 – Mount Street Group (Mount Street), a leading global provider of third-party loan servicing and credit asset management services, announces that S&P Global Ratings has upgraded Mount Street Mortgage Servicing Ltd. (MSMS) to “STRONG” from “ABOVE AVERAGE” as a commercial mortgage loan primary servicer in the U.K.

Mount Street Mortgage Servicing Ltd. manages a €44.4 billion U.K. mortgage loan portfolio, as part of a €67 billion pan-European mortgage loan portfolio.

As part of the ranking action, S&P Global Ratings also raised Mount Street’s management and organization sub ranking, and the loan administration sub ranking to “STRONG” from “ABOVE AVERAGE”. Mount Street’s capabilities as a special servicer of commercial mortgage loans in the U.K. were also recognised by S&P Global Ratings and were reaffirmed as “ABOVE AVERAGE”.

In its ranking upgrade, S&P Global highlighted MSMS’s:

  • Steady growth in its U.K. primary servicing portfolio
  • Experienced and tenured leadership team and sufficient servicing staff tenure
  • Enhanced internal control environment, with its risk management function consolidated over the last two years
  • Robust IT platform and increased focus on information security
  • Ongoing implementation of new technologies to enhance automation and streamline processes

Reflecting the continued strength of the credit, structured and asset backed finance markets, and growing demand for highly specialised outsourced solutions providers, Mount Street has enjoyed a very strong 2025 to date. Highlights include:

  • The Mount Street portfolio totals €155 billion of Assets under Administration
  • New deals onboarded totalling €4.8 billion
  • Appointed Servicer on the following CMBS transactions:
    • Taurus 2025-1
    • Taurus 2025-2
    • Pine 2025-1
    • Lagarino (European Loan Conduit No.40) DAC
  • Extension of MSMS market presence and client reach along with an expansion of the CRE Primary Servicing team

Serenity Morley, Mount Street’s Chief Operating Officer, commented: “This ranking upgrade is testament to a lot of hard work and reflects our continued commitment to investing in our management and staff, improving our reporting functions, alongside the ongoing integration of automation and technology across all relevant aspects of our platform. Having established a market-leading commercial mortgage offering in the UK, we are excited by the opportunities we are seeing both in the UK, as well across Europe – globally.

2025 has seen a marked uptick across both the UK and Europe in terms of refinancings and new loans. Whilst near-term macroeconomic volatility continues to weigh on transaction volumes, improving investor sentiment should support a meaningful market recovery.”
